Troubleshooting
Start here when something feels broken. The checklist below covers the issues support teams see most often before deeper investigation is needed.
Quick checks first
Run through these basics before you assume there is a product bug:
- Refresh the page and retry the action once.
- Confirm you are in the correct workspace and account.
- Test in a current browser version.
- Disable aggressive content blockers or privacy extensions for
stickstudio.app. - Ask a teammate whether the issue is isolated to your account or affects the whole workspace.
The app does not load or shows a blank screen
If the app stalls during load:
- Hard refresh the page.
- Open the app in a private window to rule out stale cached data or extension conflicts.
- Check whether your network blocks scripts, cookies, or third-party sign-in flows.
If the issue persists, capture the page URL and any visible error text before contacting support.
Canvas performance feels slow
If the editor feels heavy or delayed:
- Reduce unusually large images or video files before layering more assets.
- Close extra browser tabs if the device is under memory pressure.
- Remove unused layers or duplicate canvases only when you need them.
- Test the same canvas in a private window to rule out extension conflicts.
Changes are not saving
When edits do not stick:
- Make sure your session has not expired.
- Confirm you still have permission to edit that workspace or item.
- Retry from a stable network connection.
- Check whether another owner or admin recently changed your access.
Background removal or AI results look wrong
When image cleanup tools are not giving you a clean result:
- Start with the highest-quality source image you have.
- Check for low contrast edges, motion blur, or heavy compression artifacts.
- Retry with a tighter crop around the subject before removing the background again.
- Review the result at the final export size before deciding it failed.
Invite emails are not arriving
Before resending an invite:
- Confirm the email address is correct.
- Ask the recipient to check spam, promotions, and filtered inbox views.
- Revoke the original invite if it is stale, then send a fresh one.
- Make sure the workspace still has enough seats available if your plan limits them.
Files, exports, or downloads fail
If an upload, export, or download stalls:
- Retry with a smaller test file or simpler action first.
- Check whether the file type or size is likely to be the cause.
- Double-check transparent-background or final-size settings before exporting again.
- Confirm your browser is allowed to download files from the site.
- Test again after disabling extensions that block popups or downloads.
Collect details for support
If you need help from the Stick Studio team, send:
- Workspace name and relevant URL
- The specific canvas, project, or export you were working on
- The email address tied to your account
- Exact steps to reproduce the issue
- A screenshot or screen recording, if available
- The time the issue happened, including your time zone
