Billing

Use this page for the most common Stick Studio billing tasks: plan changes, payment updates, invoices, renewals, and cancellations.

Understand plans and renewals

Before making changes, confirm:

  • Whether your workspace is on a trial, monthly plan, or annual plan
  • Who currently owns billing for the workspace
  • When the next renewal or invoice date is scheduled

Plan changes usually take effect immediately unless the app shows a different effective date during checkout.

Update payment details

To change the card or billing method on file:

  1. Open billing settings from the workspace that owns the subscription.
  2. Replace or update the existing payment method.
  3. Save changes and confirm the new method appears before you leave the page.

If a payment fails, update the method first and then retry the outstanding invoice if that option appears in-app.

Access invoices and receipts

Keep invoices easy to find for finance and procurement.

  • Download invoices from the billing section of the workspace that owns the plan.
  • Verify the billing name, address, and tax details before sending documents internally.
  • Save receipts soon after renewal if your team closes books monthly.

Adjust seats and team size

Seat changes are easiest when you review access first.

  • Add seats before a new team rollout to avoid blocking invites.
  • Remove unused members before downgrading if you want to lower your count.
  • Check whether seat updates apply immediately or at the next renewal based on your plan.

Cancel or change your plan

Before you downgrade or cancel:

  • Export any records your team needs to keep.
  • Confirm who on the team should retain owner access until the subscription ends.
  • Review the next renewal date so you know when the change will take effect.

Failed payments and billing errors

Most billing errors fall into one of these buckets:

  • The card expired or was replaced
  • The billing contact no longer has access
  • The bank rejected the payment attempt
  • The workspace is being managed from the wrong account

If you still cannot resolve the issue, contact support and include the invoice date, workspace name, and the exact billing error message.

Refund questions

If you need a refund review, include:

  • Workspace name
  • Last invoice date
  • Billing email
  • A short explanation of what happened

That context helps support respond faster and route the request correctly.
